Art pours colour into life, opening our minds to new experiences, and to new ways of seeing the world around us. Essential for a healthy, vibrant community, art should be accessible to all. This is why we offer arts education across a variety of mediums where every individual, at all levels of experience, can engage with art. Our classes are designed to enrich and delight, while fostering connection between the diverse people who create in southern Alberta.
Our facility rentals create space for the Lethbridge arts community to rehearse, celebrate, teach, display, and perform their art – without barriers. Whatever your event or performance, we have the room you need, and the knowledge to help bring your vision to life. We have five, adaptable spaces, including a dance studio, meeting room, multi-purpose room/black-box space, upstairs patio, and Rotary Square.
Go further than the classroom and fully explore your artistic expression. With the Casa Studio Access Pass, you can find the tools, community, and space to pursue your vision no matter the medium. We offer passes across six different art studios, including clay, woodworking, 2D art, darkroom, printmaking and textiles. Beyond access to state-of-the-art equipment, it’s the connection with other like-minded individuals that artists truly treasure.
The Gallery at Casa exhibits fine art and craft from southern Alberta. With free admission, the gallery spaces at Casa are open for visitors to explore. Beyond regular exhibitions, The Gallery hosts film screenings, art documentaries, community projects and artist talks to encourage connection, engagement and celebration in Lethbridge and beyond.
Take part in the greater cultural conversation. Throughout the year, there are opportunities to showcase your artistic voice right here at Casa. The Allied Arts Council connects local artists to opportunities at Casa and within the community. These include the Artist Kiosks in Rotary Square, Artist in Residence (AiR) programs, annual Calls for Exhibition and even thematic, juried shows for the community.
There’s always activity happening at Casa, from art openings, table reads, artist talks, plays, concerts, cabarets, film screenings, recitals to monthly club meetings. New events are added all the time. Be sure to check back regularly to keep track of everything happening at Casa!
